Poetry Groups
so many books in the wall
so many thoughts are shared
wonder what's in the vault
maybe kindles are stored there
I stuck a note on the door
Of the spy who loved me.
When he reads it
He will find out
I spied on him too
And that is why
All that is left of me
Is that note.
Insulation
Books work better than insulation
to stop the drafts in the arthritic building.
If only someone could figure out how
to stop the draft from coming in through the door!
Peaceful Waters
Do you know about my books, where the peaceful waters flow,
So many books, many shapes, many kinds, many things to know.
A maze of knowledge, world of imagination, a wealth of history,
Come sit awhile. Pick one. Romance? Horror? Comedy or mystery?
They are all here; war, peace, freedom, prison, Shakespeare, Bronte, and Poe,
The lists goes and and on. I’m sure if you look hard enough there is someone you know.
Shall we tame a dragon, fight monsters, or perhaps we can fly upon fairy wings,
Stay up until the midnight hour, fearing witches or listening to the song birds sing.
Come and join me. So many books, so many stories told, set your imagination on fire,
Here in my little world where the peaceful waters flow, a world where books inspire.
