A full moon illumined in the midnight sky

Is such a beautiful site to the naked eye

Making me feel high from its alluring glow

Lighting my path so that I know where to go

No longer am I seeing the forest for the trees

Improved vision gets me through the leaves

A cool breeze sneezed & pushed 'em out my way

Chess', not checkers, the strategic game I play

Having much more say in my day to day plights

Not apprehensive about traveling at night

Learned how to fight my affliction of depression

A moon child's style of poetrys' my medication

Answers to equations, I've been enlightened with

Venting my frustrations by way of this poetic gift

Making a shift from mental pauper to a proper King

Cage doors opened & I'm hoping the bird still sings

Celestial

mistress moon mother of mars

help heal these deepening scars

what do you see

is it really always me

forever seeking your light

celestial insight before losing the will to fight

shoreline sand shifting obliquely

ignoring waves of man so meekly

walk with me toward another way

joyless pain embracing all grey

thrust into this reign of the weak

endlessly paying possession fees so bleak

mother moon tell of love’s real cost

supposedly found all the while lost

judge not this depth of measure

spare no mercy while withholding pleasure

eminence of trust evidence of loves

with history tucked into black leather gloves

luna darling swear your face changed

relentlessness is prearranged

precognitive vision of mythical nights

embrace the jagged horizon relinquishment invites

sadly now words turn into stars

growing weary behind these invisible bars

reasoning alone is attending a banquet beggin’

through with that theoretical view of heaven

save your prayers someone worthy might need them

contradictory view is not permission to condemn

salvation lies within

hurry toward something never been
