Thank you
Thank you....as was yours.
That is very well spoken. Loved it
the eyes - gateway to the soul
so it is written as the story is told
I look into your eyes
stripping away your disguise
laying bare the fear inside
you fight so hard to ever hide
reaching out I draw you in
showing you my soul within
so that your fears might abate
when you see the demon at my gate
you have nothing to fear
I have nothing to hide
open your eyes to a new day
knowing with my soul I did pay
great write Pam
the pupil is the black hole
that leads directly to your soul
Thank you, so much. I love yours also.
Very powerful Cynthia, I loved it.
Wake Me
In my dreams I see what this world has done to me
I am heartbroken as I lose faith in this thing called society.
My eyes see the evil and destruction, poverty and death,
The tears come as I watch communities take their last breath.
Bridges fall, tears cannot the problem solve, but they cannot be slowed,
Children missing, lost, stolen, running away not knowing where to go.
A grey tarnished eyesight, shatters the halo of the things now seen,
I truly do not want to sleep, wake me from this nightmarish dream.

My Eyes
My life on this here little piece of rock
Has been a journey of joy and agony
With my eyes I have seen the beauty that can be
But my eyes have also seen the cruelty of man
I have watched as a baby is born, I have watched as they die
I have been to beautiful forests full of life, those same forests now gone, clear cut for the money that can be got
Now, still no life to be seen there, even the birds no longer comes there
My eyes have watch as young love grows, and watch it fade away as lovers grow apart
I have walk on to a ridge and looked out over a land with clear air, but I also have seen smoke stacks pumping poison into the air
Now that I’m old and dying I can see the folly of man’s desires
In my eyes I can see what evil we have done, in the name of God all the wars that were won, all we did was to destroy the garden where we live
Yes, the world we had was a Garden of Eden, but now it’s gone because of our greed
Now my eyes will close, never more to see this land, for in my life I did not stop to breath nor look at what we as man had done in the name of God
When my eyes open next the face of God is who I’ll face
I’ll ask forgiveness of my sins, but God will look at me and I will see the tears that flow from her eyes
She will say to me, I made a place for thee, but man is never satisfied with perfection
The place you destroyed led to your own destruction
So my judgement for thee is that the hell you’ll have for now and through eternity is to see through your eyes, only the ugliness of man!
