My story is a whisper a breath in the wind,
From shadows sown in darkness, a beginning and an end.
Forecasting the future, dedicating to the past,
Each day a reminder nothing really lasts.
Would that I had met you in life’s different stage,
Chances taken, changes made without turning the page.
Searching for heather and honey, looking beyond today,
Perhaps a new chapter, the morrow I can not delay.
So hush my love, I gain strength from your smile,
The morrow, nor yesterday, no matter. Stay with me awhile.
Sweet surrender, love me a little, love me a lot, we are together,
Just hold me now, do not promise a forever.
