Dreams take us on journeys where they will,
Time moves forward or it can stand still.
Improbable, impossible, adventures in your mind,
Reality forgotten, the real world far, far behind.
Visions of future, rumors of life passed before,
There is no need for time, a minute an hour or more.
It stretches onward, sands of time slow or fast,
Only a moment in time, but it will not last.
Switch channels in your mind never a sense to make,
And bringing such power a surge a mind shake.
“off with you, you naughty man,” but saying does not make it so,
So wicked doth his heart lie; striking a fatal blow.
Upon the seas, sailing through time turn and twist,
Seeing without eyes, a voice you cannot resist.
“Come to me, come, let us sail the oceans end,”
Waking, trying to recapture what held, but never again.
You wish to go back, your last moment awaits,
But no. Different now. On to a different fate.
Oh, what evil touches my path, losing my breath,
Wake me, wake me, I wish not to see my death.
