I have traveled the world, over oceans and fields,
A blanket in wildflower meadows the suspense builds.
In the hands of young I teach them anything they wish to learn,
Wars, poverty, mystery, adventure, romance, some of us burn.
Sometimes I am hidden, or am found in every nation,
Take a look at me, on the beach, any vacation.
Who’s hands rest upon my spine? so many I am told,
Some parts of my wrinkled body are worth more than gold.
I can make you smile, I can make laughter dimple your cheeks,
It is good for you to cry from your soul, and make my words speak.
Why don’t you join me in my timeless journey of emotion,
I have been worldwide, going further, loving your devotion.
