The Path of Being Saved in Emptiness

This world has given me nothing,
Nor do I crave anything of it
For want to be filled with Jesus,
For want of His Holy Spirit.
Empty plates and bowls are lifted up to the Lord
Hungry to be filled with the presence of He.
Sometimes He wants us to sit by Him and to just stop giving
As we receive His gifts for us,
To fill us full of Himself,
For this is the gift of Abba Father,
The path of emptiness that can save
A person’s poor soul
From a work’s salvation’s bottomless hole.
