A serpentine river, traversing through the woods and plains, An awestruck wonder! Your splendid view makes me insane. O Amnok! Please pause for a moment and carry me with you; I yearn to behold this scenic vista, painted in the vibrant hue. During the delightful journey from Mount Paektu to Korea bay, Your gentle gurgling turns the weary travelers, jovial and gay. Adorned with the string of hills and emerald green farmlands; Who knows I might meet at riparian land, a perfect soulmate! Let me drown in the limpid stream to savor your rustic charm; Snuggling in your lap, I'll fall into slumber folding mine arms. What a majestic creation of Almighty you are, O Amnok river! Your panoramic trail enraptures all the enthusiastic travelers. I wish to cherish your every glimpse forever in my little eyes; Those sweet memories will accompany me for rest of the life. My heart desires for the eternal stay in this canvas of nature; But I'm aware; many souls are queued up to relish your nectar. When I return to my country India with your incredible story; Would you too remember me as an ardent lover of your glory? My heart believes you would also miss this inquisitive traveler; I know your rhythmic rippling will resonate in my mind forever.

Those Seven Days at Taebak Mountains As strangers, we met at those hilly terrain, In that stormy night, drenched in the rain. Amidst wooded wilderness, you and me, Rushed to a deserted cabin, in the vicinity. After a long pause, we started to converse, But looking at your eyes, I became nervous. You smiled and pretended like any stranger, I lay down tossing and turning on the floor. Trapped in the jungle for another one week, We got rescued by a laudable search team. While separating, I turned to see you again, But you did not stop and just moved ahead. How could I forget you and your pretty face, My heart is lost somewhere in the hilly terrain. Whether you remember or not, I can’t forget, Aah! Those seven days at Taebak Mountains. [This poem is also published in my book "Enchanting Korea"]
