Dry leaves that fall on the ground Makes no thud or any other sound They can only be heard, the crackle of leaves When it is blown away by the breeze.

Leap across the timeline Past is a gate which remains closed A gate through which we emerged Present is a gift so fabulous for us Where the waves of future is submerged. Future opens through a gate which Present always welcomes with a smile Unknowing and virgin future years Beckons to us after a while. Sow the seeds of love Nurture a plant in green Nourish the plant with water and sunlight Reap the harvest so seen Just like a little boy in infancy The plant grows and so do the leaves The branches emerge from the stem As it sways gently with breeze Go green with the environment Sunlight that warms the day Water and soil which like parents Are cherishing the baby everyday One day it will, flourish Like a stout trunk of a tree With branches hanging out wide And reach out far and free A time will come when the child Will turn into a sturdy man So love and cherish it with love For as many years you can. @Sujata Chatterjee
