“Striving to live in the present while forgiving my past and dreaming of my future”
Poet Bio
- I’m a native of northern Michigan where I love the beauty of my home- town, but hate the winters the older I get which makes me Florida bound soon. I’m the wife of Michael, mother of two daughters and Nana to teen Kaleigh Jean and college man William Michael. I have a background in early childhood development and am a firm believing that childhood shouldbe a magical time filled with marshmallow hugs and candy cane kisses. I have always written since I was a child but it wasn’t until 2013 at the urgingof my granddaughter that I began to collect and write my stories down. In the process I started an anti-bullying/kindness program sockmonkeynation.com that I fund with my book sales. Last but not least, I’m a pet mom to Maxwell House our 11 year old standard poodle. As you can guess by his name, I’m a dedicated coffee lover.
