Does the contagion have us, or

Is this something else

Corona Virus, Corona Virus

Why us

Is it time, how do I find

Where will it be, the end for me

Where will we go, nowhere I can see

Dylan poetically sang

Times they are a changing

Goin’ out wearing a sicklied mask

even y’all with a Memphis twang

lost his valentine now he’s exchanging

when staying home was your moral task

apparently he didn’t give a dang

the world now he’s shortchanging

in scorn now you will bask

Please use that best practice thang

priorities now rearranging

drinking water from a Dewars flask

He wears a mask to protect him from a bug

While idiots in Florida drink and dance and shrug

On beaches where the sun beats down on them with heat;

All we can do is self-quarantine, enforced retreat.

They raise selfishness to a perverse level of art

Revealing their lack of brains or common sense or heart.

There is a side of me, a bit obscene,

Who thinks they deserve to get this thing.
