Rough. Gruff. Solid. Whole.

Framed by yellow; fibrous,

Sleep baby seed, sleep.

A year has aged her quickly

Heartbroken by the world on edge

Violence and hatred continues throughout cities

She hangs on by the roots where she began

Dangling her head low in stillness

She waits

Truth sets one free

And in turn a dawning of new life will begin.

The sunflower droops

it's aging head to the ground

New seeds for new Life
