even though you know you should

in your hearts and minds it'll do no good

this is the way you make your stand

from what your father has done, a sister's touch

is the only warmth from the humane hand

Hear no evil,

See no evil,

Speak no evil.

That's what they taught us to believe, and that's what we've learned to be.

Turn a blind eye to those in need,

and in church we'll sing, preach & dance in our hypocrisy.

Although oppressed, Christian women believe they are free.
