The lion isn't the only thing that roars

In the lands not shelled with concrete, asphalt and tragic dreams.

Where nature has yet to lose the war

Between all that was and all that soon will be.

Where we were free to make more choices in our lives

In a time when the number of those were less.

I sit in a quiet but multi-layered distress

And let the rush and riot of manic running waters

Overwhelm but oddly comfort me.
