Ladies, Y'all did a great job
Ashes
Walking along the shore seeking a moments peace,
All the beauty that surrounds gives her some release.
She carries the ashes of her love so true,
Releasing them quietly under the bright full moon.
Sadness catches her. Tears she will not let go,
Not yet. Not till the waves pull her with the ocean’s flow.
“Cry my lady, go ahead and cry your tears. Eternity forever,
Now is not the time, but someday we will again be together.”

The young girl, rises high
Takes a deep breath and sighs
With a wave, she has released
All of her wishes and dreams
They head towards a place unknown, far away
Where they will settle until the day
She recalls them back to her
Dreams of youth of boy bands and coloured hair
As she grows up, smashing them off her list, one by one, her life unfolds
All of them hers, she has paid the price
Some dreams met, some sacrificed
Some dreams she happily recalls, Some dreams never to be told
The girl now a woman, has bigger dreams a man, a child, a future house full of laughter and love
A pen out the back which houses a dove
They are her dreams to hold in her own arms,
Her dreams to protect from harm
Her dreams to love and to hold
Her dreams have now become much more bold
She is so beautiful, her prayers so deep
stars and moon, she asks God her soul he keep
She knows he hears all of her prayers
He'll answer her, in the night as she deeply stares
He is in the moon and stars that shine,
He is her rock, he keeps her close, her shrine
He made this beauty she sees so clear,
the clouds the sky ands stars so very near
She has faith he will hear her tonight,
She knows he is in the moon so bright.
She prays he will direct her how
decisions she must make about a proposal now,
The man she loved she sheds a tear
as she stares into the night so very clear
the wind blows softly from the sky,
why now she can't help but wonder why
The night so very dark will tell her what she needs to know
the answers will come she feels sure, its time to go
She looks up at the stars one last time,
She knows she'll accept it will all be fine.
