So sad Samantha, but heartfelt. Great one Jackie. They all look forward to vacation.
Awaiting the children a new day dawns,
On the chalkboard yesterday's lesson linger on.
A breath and a sigh filled desks are a great thing,
Enjoy the knowledge that a classroom can bring.
Learn. Stretch the imagination. Think. Debate,
Read and write. Math. Do not hesitate.
The bell rings and the students take their seats,
Always remember be fair. Never should you cheat.

Term was over
Schools out
The kids wasted no time, they had all emptied out
Off to the beach to roam for the summer
Splashing in the water, skiing on skis, surfing on board and kites
The teachers off on their hols, car packed, ready to go
Neither student or Teacher taking it slow
Another year over, a few weeks off, places to go
Then, for both student and teacher it all begins again, may the holidays pass real slow
A sad reflection on an empty classroom, well written though Samantha x
