Staring at them
Holding hands
Down the street,
With no shame
Of what they did
To me.
Looking back
To the nights we spent together
Talking to the wind
The stories that were meant
to be forever.
Never thought you’d leave me hanging
And cross the river together
Holding hand by hand
Leaving me and the wind
To wonder which electric shock
Had took over.
Looking down the road
Hand in hand
With still
No shame,
I look at them straight in the eye,
And hold my other hand
For all the days that I’ve had only myself
My hand deserves to be held
By one that could never leave her alone
which is
my own
damned
self
loving
