A Child’s right to the Stars

Every Child dreams of things they want to do

The places they want to go, the life they want to live

But it is sad to say that Society gets in the way

Little boys are told to reach for the stars, but little girls are not

Boys are to grow and be the provider; girls are told they must be raise to be a mother

Now why we do this silly dance is beyond me

For I can see so much is lost when we place a tag on thee

There are many Women out there who have a voice to share, maybe we should listen

Little girls and boys both should reach for the stars

For equality is the only answer

The truth is, that we don’t know which child will be born that will pick the star, which leads to our salvation!
