The "jokes" we endure, the times that we're made to feel that we can do nothing right
All you see is someone who needs to get over it, but on the inside, it's a fight
You don't know the mental tortures we endure, that keeps us stuck in our odd ways
In private, our thoughts are dark and brooding, in public we go through our silent days
Putting on a brave face, hiding our true feelings from everyone around
We feel like we're drowning in life, and there's no one to be found
To keep emotions together, trying to convince yourself that it's not that big of a deal
But when the heart is hurt, it's hard to control how you feel
You're hurt, you're broken, you wonder why your life feels unfair
"If I disappeared tomorrow, would anyone even care?"
Just be careful what you say to someone, you don't know what they may be going through
Some may take your words to heart, then who knows what they might do
