Weight On My Chest

I have weight on my chest

I'm not talking about the kind

you chest press inside of a gym

I'm speaking about the anxiety within

On my worse days  it's a 24 hour

out of body experience

the ride is far from pleasant

racing thoughts intrude my mind

to calm this storm it's  a seek and find

searching for peace in this mind

cursed with thoughts the speed

of category 5 hurricanes

I have weight on my chest

I don't know where it came from

but everyday I feel it's presence 

if I could find the receipt

I'd take it back like a unwanted present

this weight halts  my progress

this weight is my main problem

this weight won't let me prosper

All I can do is pray

I don't know what else to say

I feel like I've said it all

I'll give the weight to god

I'm sure he can carry it all.....
