I will not follow your rules,
Abide by your words,
Seek acceptance in your charge.
I refuse to trust your commands,
Believe in your truth, Stand in your shadow.
I know the path of light, Of what is truth,
To live my life.
No mistake would be as great
As to trust in one
Who continues in darkness.
This sounds so evil but as a writer when words evade you it’s like doing battle with a storm moving in clouding your mind, thoughts, words and sunlight.

The poem speaks to the importance of self-trust and belief in one’s own truth even in the face of shadows and darkness. It is a reminder that we must find our own path and not rely on others to define it for us. The poetic language used to express these powerful sentiments provides a moving experience that will resonate with readers.
