Find me my song
beneath that shy leaf
under the brambles
of the backyard.
Falling free in a parachute
from the C 46
over the water tank,
rolling down the lonely hillock,
tender feet chasing it
right through.
Reverberating on a dark night
under a studded canvas
glittering like crystals.
Sleeping in the open,
tunes floating in wistfully,
whispering its promise,
breathing gently on
my eyelids.
I slip into slumber
to the mellow melody
and look for the words
in the puffy clouds above.
Perhaps they'll fall
one rainy day
on a parched mind
and dry eyes.
Fall down my cheeks
in a song,
raindrops reminding
me of
my lost song.
