Thank you Cynthia ☓
Such wonderful talent in this group. Jackie that was an amazing story. All of you captured the moment with perfect words
The View
Trees sprawl across blue sky
Roots disperse beneath hills high
The wonder of nature in full bloom
Seen from the air, in a hot air balloon
Quietly drifting amongst clouds and birds
Not a sound in the sky, nothing is heard
At one with the world, not a care to be had Emotions take over, and banish your sad.
At one with the world not a care to be found
Then down with a bump on the familiar ground
Beyond the Doors
Which way do I turn? Which door should I choose?
There are way to many I get so confused.
The wrong one will bring such pain and sorrow,
Another, leads to the chaos of tomorrow.
Why me? My hand does not hold life’s answers,
Behold the closed door with music and dancers.
But what if I fail and the door leads to suffering?
It will lead to devastation all for nothing.
I cry. A sad wail from my youth long ago,
A doorway from the past, a world I no longer know.
No. Leave me be I cannot decide the world’s fate,
Too many doors, too many ills: past, future, love, and hate.

Nice take, Susan!
Closed, secreted, hidden behind
What is there?
Is there treasure?
Is there danger?
Is it monsters?
Is it future? Or
Is it past?
I am frozen by indecisiveness
Too many choices
Where is the window?
Ah I see Sam, thank you too ☓
Kyle .Rob and Samantha I love yours, , has Clint written one. Cos I can't see it anywhere?
A LIFES QUEST
The journey had taken 30 days and nights
What lay behind these doors would be the key to the rest of his life
Behind each door a symbol he would find, he would need to work out the key to make up his mind.
Once he has chosen the key to a door, he must hold strong, walk through, then take time to explore.
Once the door is shut there’s no turning back, so time should be taken for him to decide, how he wants to spend the rest of his life.
Door 1 – A Cup – full to the brim, what would this cup hold if this door he chose to let him in.
Door 2 – A Sword – shiny and bright, what does this sword symbolise, does it mean he must fight.
Door 3 – A Rope – short and with a loop, he envisages it swinging in a tree, not sure if this holds any meaning for me.
Door 4 – A Trinket – made of silver and gold, encrusted with jewels, if he chose this Trinket would it make him a fool?
Door 5 – A Picture – painted with bright colours of a stream and bridge, he could see him sitting on the ledge, relaxing in the sun, should he choose Door 5 he thought he would like what would come.
Door 6 – A Key – to open a door maybe to a safe or a shed, he considered he was not sure if he liked where this would led.
Door 7 – “Emptiness” – nothing to see and nothing to hold, what does this mean he considered, does it mean me to be bold.
He stood back and considered his choices well, it was like he was cast under a spell.
Door 1 he considered seemed to good to be true, a life full to the brim the minute he walked through the door, nothing to aim for or to achieve, he decided to no longer explore Door 1.
Door 2 – He was not certain he wanted to fight for everything, although he did consider if something was worth it to him he would find it worth fighting for, he considered Door 2 he would no longer explore.
Door 3 – A rope – to swing from he felt, he wouldn’t consider a rope or a belt, life was for living and he didn’t feel like giving it up, he fell to his knees and dismissed Door 3.
Door 4 – A trinket – he knew that this was a fools gold and no fool was he, he dismissed Door 4 as quickly as Door 3
Door 5 – A picture, this took longer to consider he liked what he saw, he was going to consider door 5 some more.
Door 6 – A key to a safe or shed, it could mean a small shed to live or it could be his saviour when he opened the lid, it could hold treasure abound but he considered it unwise that treasures would be found, he thought hard but considered himself to be right, the key was not going to be his light, he dismissed Door 6.
Door 7 – Emptiness – this door intrigued him the most, it meant the canvass was blank, he could walk through the door and start a new life, not knowing what it held, would he meet a wife, have a great job, children, cars, holidays, who knew, he was beginning to think it was too good to be true. So he was going to consider Door 7 some more.
He walked through Door 5 to consider some more, making sure not to close the door, , he liked the picture of the stream and bridge and him sitting on the ledge in the sun but then he considered he was alone, he couldn’t see anyone else sharing the scene with him, does this mean he would be alone, he’s not sure that he could atone to being all alone for all eternity, suddenly Door 5 no longer appealed.
He walked back out Door 5 and straight through to Door 7, he didn’t shut the door, even though he felt he was as close to heaven of a new life as he could find, he wanted time to totally make up his mind.
He liked the peace, the tranquillity he found of knowing his life held no bounds.
In a jiffy he turned around and shut the door, decision made Door 7 it was time to set off and explore.
Seven doors stare and dare us to choose
But buying their promise can cause us to lose
Real doors dont fit the brochures we get shown
They're not arbitrary boundaries that imprison the known
We can wander out-of-doors related and free
or get tempted inside where walls block what we see
Thanks, enjoyed that one! was fun. i do like these promts it can give a spark of inspiration when you are struggling to find any. And you get so many different takes on how a single image can be interpretated
So many doors ahead
all new passages down which to be led
how can i choose, which one to take
which one could be a mistake
Do I stride through door one
a rainy landscape, seems grey and glum
but that is just weather, it could change anytime
the sunshine could make this path sublime
i could pass through door two
the pathway to you
a journey that could bring hurt and pain
but could also bring love again
door three sits slightly open to me
inside a sight so beatiful to see
an ocean view, bathed in sunshine so bright
but it could all be an illusion, a trick of the light
door four locked shut, its key on the floor
no way to get a glance inside, would be scary to explore
is it filled with monsters and ghouls, or a story to tell?
is it a path to happiness or hell?
So i have to take a choice
only one i can take, i hear my voice
door four, all the doors lead to a world unknown
they all lead forward, to make my own
Doors that lead me to who I am,
One knows my name and one that will slam
One for emotion, passion desire
One that holds fire and things about me I admire
There is one door I open when I need to think
and one door for happiness I always seek
There is one door for memories special to me
One door that holds my sub-conscience you see
You can only have one key at a time,
until you know me the keys remain mine.
I hope that we get to the point where there will be,
one set of keys for you, and one set for me.
