Well done, Jackie
I'm a lost soul
Walking a lonely road
Trying to escape the demons of my past
But they haunt me, their always in my vision, on my mind
Shoulders hunched I walk away
Trying to think of a way to keep them at bay
They hold their hands out firm, eyes wide
Determination to keep me tethered to their side
So for now I continue to walk the road, a lost lonely, desperate soul
Good one, Donald.
Trapped in an endless time as a prisoner I am held,
The breath from my body slight in this land I dwell.
I gasp for air. I beg him to release his hold,
Against the invisible barrier ancient; old.
I walk and walk but I return to where I had been,
A circle endless, appearing again and again.
I think he laughs as he leans against the unseeable window,
"Help me, please help me," My screams die, but my tears flow.

Walking through the woods one night
I saw something that gave me a fright
Could not believe what was ahead of me
Something so evil you rarely see
Was it a ghostly demon that I saw
Nope, just my scary sister-in-law
we all have our demons
yet few
greet them
sober
with balled fists
at least
that’s what i think
happened
