There once was a shallow ocean, full of life, here in this place
Now several million years have pass, the ocean is gone
Oh there are a few lakes that are remnants of that great sea but
Out here now are miles upon miles of a different type of sea
The land of rust red sand and dust, is now part of this desolate space the only sounds you hear now, are winds moving across the empty earth and birds soaring in the air looking for meal to eat, of scurrying rodents moving across barren rock and sand
Yet life still exists, there are tortoise, sheep, foxes and coyote among others
In the day the Sun beats down hot and hard on the land, at night it turns so cold, it gets to where it’s freezing, if there was rain it would be snowing
Dry as it is there is an Oasis, in a variety of places
One such place is a hill that stands all alone, a rock that juts high into the sky, it has an archway that was carved by ancient winds long ago, and the young winds of today continue to blow though it’s portal
Over the cliff water does flow to the dark blue lake far below
It’s a special place; with a spiritual solitude, it gives one peace
To rejuvenate oneself, to come one with the land, in a spiritual sense
As one looks through the portal they can survey a wide desolate area of land, for miles there’s only red sand
Here as you gaze through the portal and ponder the future
The lazy blue sky with fluffy white clouds that seem to endlessly drift by provides a canopy over this hostile environment
In the late afternoon as the Sun is going down the rays of light reflect through the water flowing over the rock as it falls, changing its color to the color of gold
Yes, it looks like threads of gold, and then it splashes into the blue pond below
This land has been dry since the great sea left; for centuries life has not changed much, it’s a daily struggle for life itself
There soon could be a big change coming though
As the world’s oceans keep rising, could the sea once again return bringing the shallow sea from long ago to cover this land?
We may one day see a new inland sea, where the desert had been!

Safe Lagoon
The protection of the safe lagoon
allows swimmers to bath safely
while enjoying nature’s wonders.
Gilligan and the castaways were safe.
All God’s glory beauty to behold,
Clear blue sky’s and sun of gold.
Water falling from above a thunderous roar,
Peace, love, beauty everything I have searched for.

A sunset at just the right time
Upon the greenest of fields
Even the rocks going down hill
Are a sight as they reach the water
The brown ember cliff pours orange
Into the most beautiful body of blue
A landscape truly unbelievable
This is what paradise looks like
It's a magical land
Where waters dance and the landscape glows
It's a magical land
Where trees grow high and wide
Twisting their way to the sky
It's a magical land
Where the sky is bright blue and the land a carpet of Verdant green
It's a magical land I like to go to revive the heart and the soul
Where do you like to go?
