Beautiful Cynthia
I love it Eileen
They were young once, he promises her the moon’s glow,
The stars he captures, but his promise fails. He must go.
A new journey so far from home, new people, a new town,
His heart rips into the pain. Laughter gone, now a constant frown.
She cannot stop the tears, a young love, a heart broken,
As he waves goodbye his love for her remains unspoken.
Years down the road a recording once upon a midnight tune,
A package he sends. A picture of her under the stars and moon.
On and on the tune played a recording of his heart for her,
The words he spoke softly. Words she will always remember.
I have loved you forever, my little moon and stars,
A knock upon the door, together now. Never will they part.

Very nice Eileen, a lovely poem
Paper Mache Moon
A curious student
reaches for a paper mache moon
to open possibilities.
What will she discover?
The world beyond hers is infinite.
The reflection warming her hands
is making her consider her future.
She could discover something
that no one else ever knew about.
The paper mache moon is more
than just a classroom object.

The Wisdom of the Light
Born that day was a baby girl
The nurse place pink on her, to label her
For she must comply with the masculine system
Brainwash to believe women are inferior to men
Chain to being weak
Obeying the male, in servitude you must be
But as she grew, it was clear, she was not like others girls
A mind she possess, she demand equal access to all knowledge
Those who control society as a whole were in shock
How could insolent little bitch question the wisdom of man
For God, he said, that man will reign over all earth and women were just to serve- It’s written in the book
For her to say that she is equal to a man, that’s subversive talk my friend
But she would not bend to their pressure
she stood her ground even as the people but her down
She felt hopeless and despair until
God came to her one night, in a dream
As she floated among the stars
A bright sphere of light, appeared
The orb was of a beautiful light, and as she moved in space among the multitude of stars
She reached out to the orb
Bring it close to her, she saw a face appear
A beautiful woman looking back her
She could feel the energy of the light shoot within her
The knowledge she was seeking she how obtained
Then she looked with eyes of Windom at the lady in the sphere
You’re God, but how can that be the book says you’re a man
The lady smile back at the child and said God is not a man nor is she a woman, what you see what you want to see
For the soul within you is genderless!

Very nice poems by both of you, enjoy them!
moonlight glimmers outward, night comes creeping slowly through the air,
toward heaven she lifted up her hand and held the sphere extended,
but she knew that the stars were deep within the shadows out of touch
suns light from billions
of light years away
