Broken. Alone. Fragments of my life fade,
My heart loses a beat, my love betrayed.
So quiet the forest, the life force destroyed,
My breath searches for oxygen only finding a void.
Break me down. Shatter the pieces, a forsaken truth,
In my pride, age caught me, I am no longer a youth.
Mesmerized by the rocky depths of a chill, ageless stream,
I cry. I want to breathe. I want to dream.
