Once we cry the tears dissolve fade away in silence,
Captured till a need, replaced by chaos and by violence.
Stand still time, we cry, let no evil come our way,
But words cannot stop the earth’s roundabout play.
Lives fall by the wayside souls leave their shell,
It was only temporary a place for a soul to dwell.
Pain has eased the feeling of hurt disappeared,
Their souls released they have nothing more to fear.
We mourn for a tomorrow they will not see,
For as their spirits leave they are finally free.
As we stay behind and mourn, crying over their deaths,
They fly away no longer remembering their last breath.
