The shame and brutality
Of the ethnic violence of Manipur
Strangles human conscience
Into a feeling of despondency
The atrocities and crimes against humanity
And against the minority
Is a barbaric reminder of man’s cruelty
In the name of ethnicity, religion, and politics
The flagrant act of terror of outraging women’s modesty
Parading them naked and gang raping them in a field
Oh! what hellscape men have created
Razing down villages, looting, and murdering people
Their cries of helplessness fill the air and our ears
While the government remains silent
Turns a blind eye to the law-and-order situation
Justice delayed is justice denied
But where are the senses of our political leaders?

It is good that you are making sure the world is aware of these horrors. A wise person once said: "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere."
