Pizza Mind
Human interaction are becoming so rare
Technological advances are soaring through the air
Simple conversations seem harder to bear
The fear of exposing who we are inside and being vulnerable appears there
Like "Who do you work for" or "What do you do"
"Is it something you want or just something to do"
"What do you dream of doing" or "Where do you want to go"
"Do you really want more"
"Are you happy"
We ask questions with the intentions to look but not to share
Looking for some peace of mind that probably isn't there
Preparing for what's in store
I been sent so many signs
Yet I keep asking for more
So it took one of the best pizza I ever had for it to hit the core
Presented by such an amazing soul
It took just one conversation with her before i realized I was full
But the order wasn't made, and pizza wasn't out
The full I'm talking about has nothing to do with a mouth.
I'm talking about inside, the feelings that try to burst out
Overwhelming joy and relaxation
Pleasant vibes and good conversation
Although everyone's nervous, still comfortable and exciting
I just placed my stomach in the hands of a stranger
Isn't that frightening
With my brother across we looked on to our fate
But because of her personality, we felt we could relate
Or maybe it was cause of the beer, it put us in another state
Or maybe it's cause she said she went to Vegas and only bought cake
After four slices, some meatballs and a beer later with conversations for days
We stood up and began to part ways
Hugged it out and smiled away
She's a soon-to-be a future traveler with the world ahead to see
She looked excited to travel and begin a new journey
And all I could think is "Man you deserve it"
She taught me an important lesson that I'll never forget
Take life one slice at a time with no regrets
And even if you don't get the pizza you expect
Smile, and make the best out of it
Cause, yes, you could get upset and try to place the blame
But would you get satisfaction or would you be ashamed
Make lemonade out of lemons,
Make beer out of hop,
Make ice out of water,
I think you get it so I'll stop
Make the most out of the best
And even then always try to make it better
Positivity is a mentality that can't be measured
She gave me a piece of her mind that day
Which continues to give me peace of mind
Cause behind that smile is a brilliant mind
I can tell it's kind
I can tell it's refined,
I can tell it's quality that definitely takes time
From the stories about her messing up and spilling beer
From laughing alone, I shed a tear
I realized as I ate my pizza and listen to her speak aloud
I never felt more proud
I looked back at my own day and realized, we're kind of the same
I've messed so much times, and make mistakes every day
I left my keys in the car again, even after just getting them saved
But I continued to smile through my day
It gave me peace of mind, when I took it once piece at a time
Even if the pizza's out of the oven, you still have time
Even if you mess up, keep running towards the finish line
If the experience is worth it, the world wouldn't mind
Go ahead and finish that slice,
And share a piece of your mind.
To understand this world,
You have to have a pizza mind.
I love this. Reality
