“Oh Sovereign Lord of Hosts, where is the wisdom we have sought in our lifetime?
Your Spirit burns with fire!
It’s furious jealousy over Thy children!
We have eyes but cannot see,
We have ears, but cannot hear,
We boast of our riches and in such pride, we do not realize our nakedness!
Our silver and gold has become worthless,
Like moths and bats, we throw it in the dirt!
Yet we did not counsel you with ore from the fire,
We did not ask for salve in our blindness!
Our ambitions from our own imagination were maddening!
You ask for a servants heart to bear his own cross,
To invoke justice and righteousness regardless of the rich or poor,
Yet Woe!
Woe to us in our arrogance!
Our temples became desolate!
Our sanctuaries petty and our minds filled with malice!
Three days would come and You have said you would destroy your temple!
The delight of my eyes would be taken, Yet I could not mourn or grieve!
Our sons and daughters will fall by the sword,
Our shame will be poured on our own heads!
We set up idols in our hearts and burned in worship,
We bowed our heads to such crafts of wood and stone,
We honored them with gifts of silver and gold,
The sheep know of their shepherd,
Their pasture is green and it is plentiful,
Yet we did not know the graciousness of our Shepherd!
Like sheep eager to be fed to the wolves in vengeance!
Young lions come to hunt the strays! They roar like cubs in their arrogance!
Yet You long to be merciful!
You long to bring forth justice!
Yet in unrepentant hearts, our eyes remain blind!
Our ears just as uncircumcised as our hearts!
Woe, Woe to us for our transgressions!
We fear the sword but not The Father,
We fear persecution, yet we do not perceive why we endure it!
There is no knowledge left in the hearts of our youth!
Wisdom’s spirit is all but absent!
The wine press is ripe for the wrath!
We must repent of our transgressions!
Atone for our descent into sin!
The ignorance of our depravity!
The obsession with our prolonged indulgence!
A righteous man falls to sin and his deeds remain no more!
A man repents of his sin and seeks You The Lord, Our God of Israel and his crimes are remembered not!
We are rebellious in our ways!
Your anger is apparent!
Yet why did Thy Children curse You in their rebuking?
A father rebukes his child for the building of character,
So do You rebuke us for our sin so that we may return to the path of righteousness!
Praise be to Thy Name, Yahweh and Jehovah!
Blessed be The Name of Thy Son, Lord Yahushua, and Jesus Christ!
Immeasurable is Thy Holy Spirit!
I praise You with all due pride, The Lord, My God!
