I grew up in Jersey City, New Jersey in an apartment building.

My mom was a single mother of two boys in a pretty tough city. She worked in different warehouses wherever she ccould find work. We struggled a great deal even went a few winters without heat and without electricity but there was always a great deal of love. Trying to find my way was hard. My life was like a puzzle.

Being from a poor family i couldnt afford to go to college so i left Jersey City to make something of myself. I joined the military.

I got incredibly lucky and met the love of my life very early on in life...

When we met, she was a single mother of two little boys. I quickly grew attached to those amazing little boys and i felt that life was gifting me with an opportunity to give those two little boys the one thing i wished i had while growing up, a Father. We got married and had two more children. I have been so very blessed!

I have faced many a storm. Somehow i remainremain standing as a good husband and good father.

Through life i have always found Poetry to be a sacred place. All that has moved me i have written about. A pen and paper represent the one place where i feel free to express myself without the fear of being judged. For years i wrote and filed it all away until one day my little girl convinced me that others would find inspiration in my verses so in 2012 i published my very first book.

I went on to keep my promise to my mother and earned my college degree.

I had never had the courage of reading my poems in front of others. While in college i found the courage and found my voice.

today i continue my journey of helping others in the Social Work profession. My wife and i have been married over two decades now and now we enjoy watching our children journey through life searching for their voice.

I am working on my 5th book and although sales have been very minimal, i am greatful for the opportunity to have left my legacy, my heart, and my thoughts in print so that my future generations will know who i was. I am a simple and humbled man who finds great pleasures in life's simplest things. A good scotch, a good cigar, and some quiet time to write....
