Row, Jackie, row. I enjoyed all these stories
Eileen that is a good one. A dolphin, some think shark, I see whale. Terrific
Canoeing out in the deepest of seas, far away from shore,
Lightning struck, the wind raged, and the rain began to pour.
Fear of heart, mixture of water and lightning kinda thing,
Unprepared we were, we had no raincoat, plastic, nor anything.
“Paddle, paddle, we must hurry towards the nearest beach,”
Through dotted wet binoculars there was no land within reach.
What to do? What to do? My mind was in a ferocious spin,
Each wave we crossed it would throw us back again.
Underneath the canoe a bump I felt was more or less a nudge,
At a stand still we were, the canoe gave nary a budge.
We tried to paddle, but the results were a no show,
In the air we went riding a whale, well there she blows.
Through the air we sailed, a canoe in flight,
Landed on a sandy beaches shore just right.
Yo ho the rains stopped the sun came out,
I had no idea where we were, but we could dry out.

Row, row, row your boat, but don't look down below
If you see a Shark circling you, you will begin to blow
Keep your head and row to shore, don't stop for heavens sake
Leave the Shark to its own devices and quickly make your break
Rowing
Rowing, rowing, rowing
Keeping rowing.
The dolphin is catching up to us.
Let’s keep ahead of the dolphin!

A Day on the Sea
It was quite a gentle morning; the air was fresh with a light breeze a blowing.
The Sun was warm as we left the dock; our little kayak built for two.
Joe and I were friends, that’s for sure, and love to go to sea
In the wee bit of a boat that would rock back and forth as
We paddled farther out from the shore.
The waves would splash over our bow into our face, the spray of salt water cool us in the warmth of the Sun.
We had our fishing poles with hopes of catching a trout or two, a dinner we were looking for.
But we got a whole lot more then we bargain for, on my line was something I did not want, it was a very big white shark.
Aw, you took my bait, said the shark with a grin.
My dinner a waits, what a catch I got two said the shark still with that evil grin.
Joe and I throw are poles into the water, and paddled as fast as we could, still that shark was there, its mouth wide open.
That shark was so big, and our boat was so small we had a fear that our end was near, and dinner we would be.
But out of the east moving very fast a Coast Guard Cutter
Was closing in on us, we paddled as fast as we could but that shark hit our boat with its snoot
Up in the air we went, our times up, I thought
But when we came down we land on him, the shark that is
What a pickle this is, a little boat on the back of this old shark. Just as it dived, the Cutter arrived.
Now on the Cutter, heading back to safe harbor
Joe and I looked at each other, and swore nevermore, would we go out to sea in a kayak for two. Instead of fish
From now on I will only eat meat!
