You were supposed to be mine
The peace of mind I longed for.
My yearning for you was breathtaking.
You gave me the "green light".
Maybe I read your expressions wrong;
But I jumped aimlessly at the signs,
And collided with utter embarrassment.
The lights were red.
Deep red.
Thick as blood they were.
Oh yeah! I lost pints of blood myself.
I was beaten blue-black.
My will was crushed by your rejection.
I stopped to check myself after;
My reflection grinned so hard.
My teeth gnashed and came off.
Why did you treat me this way?
My heart, you were too quick to act.
Now my peace is gone!
