Wow, an excellent poem! The mind can be deceptive, in many ways. Some say that our greatest battle is not with external forces, but rather within the depths of our own mind. And it is certainly easy to see things the way we wish them to be, but quite difficult sometimes to be confronted with a completely different reality that opposes our ideals or fantasy. Great conversation-starter and you did a great job at combining fantasy imagery and metaphors with real feelings and emotions. Love this! Very interesting twist on the life of a ghost! In fact, by reading this poem, it actually sounds like ghosts’ bypass most of the conflict and trouble humans endure on a regular basis and live in a wonderful world of freedom and paradise.
