Wonderful piece. I took up poetry after the death of my husband 11 years ago. I couldn`t express by pent up emotions. It was suggested that I wrote them down. This has resulted in my poetry and is now a big part of my life.
I know help others who are or have been through a bereavement, showing them the power of poetry and how it could help them. This is such a wonderful way for me to give back to society after all the help I received.

Wow, what a coincidence. I have been working as a Poetry Therapist for the past year helping literate clients confront their issues and sources of depression using Poetry. Although I charge a nominal fee for my time spent on the one on one service both personally and via SKYPE/FaceTime, my motivation has been to guide people through their problems using the road map I developed in writing myself out of dark corners.
